Avro Vulcan B1A XH498 of the Waddington Wing at RAF Valley in May 1966. Like the other Welsh airfields that were used as V-bomber dispersals (RAE Llanbedr and RNAS Brawdy), Valley had a two-finger ORP adjacent to the main runway.

On 498's nosewheel leg can be seen a yellow board that indicates the aircraft is armed - probably with a Yellow Sun training round.
