Avro Vulcan B1A XH475 of the Waddington Wing. The location is believed to be RAF Wittering and the date October 1965. 475 was the first aircraft of the second contract for B1s made in 1954. This contract was for 37 aircraft, XH475-X539 & XH554-XH563, though the last 17, XH533 onwards, were completed as B2s.

475 was delivered to B Flight, No 101 Squadron at RAF Finningley in February 1958. In June 1961, 101 Squadron moved to RAF Waddington. 475 was converted to B1A standard in 1962 and was subsequently pooled into the Waddington Wing. In November 1967, 475 was replaced by a B2 becoming instructional airframe 7996M. It was scrapped at Waddington in April 1976.
