Black Buck Avro Vulcan B2 XM612 at RAF Waddington. The Westinghouse ALQ-101 jamming pod can be made out on the starboard underwing pylon. 612 was delivered to IX Squadron in March 1964 and then pooled into the Coningsby Wing which moved to Cottesmore in December 1964. After a brief loan to Boscombe Down, 612 was transferred to the Waddington Wing in April 1968, being allocated to No 101 Squadron in May 1975 and to No 44 (Rhodesia) Squadron in July 1981. After being a Black Buck reserve in 1982, 612 returned to 44(R) and was retired to the Norwich Aviation Museum the following year.
